The Professional Way to Tune Your LFE Channel

features

Surround’s LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel reproduces the low-frequency sounds that are so crucial for a compelling film experience. However, there’s no “one-size-fits-all” solution to the filtering process. Some surround encoder manufacturers recommend 120 Hz, others choose 80 Hz.

Furthermore, although LFE filtering may seem basic, it’s not—so the LFE360° Low-Pass Filter prioritizes the audio integrity that’s just as important as other surround system elements.

  • Steep, 60 dB/octave rolloff below the cutoff frequency
  • Cutoff frequency variable from 20 to 250 Hz
  • To prevent clipping, lower gain as needed from 0 to 12 dB
  • Trim control can indicate overshoot—click to reduce gain
  • Use the LFE filter to preview how the encoder filter will affect audio
  • Pairs efficiently with the M360 Surround Manager & Mixdown
