Immersive Audio Comes to SuperRack V15

Published Aug 13, 2025

We are excited to announce a new version (V15) of all SuperRack products—SuperRack SoundGrid, SuperRack Performer, and SuperRack LiveBox—now featuring full support for immersive audio mixing.

Immersive Audio Comes to SuperRack V15

All SuperRack systems now feature 5.1.4, 7.1.4, and 9.1.4 immersive channel configurations, enabling powerful new workflows for cutting-edge immersive live broadcast and live concert environments.

Now you can create immersive mixes for live broadcast, live streamed events, and live concert audio, using Waves’ massive collection of professional plugins—and, with SuperRack LiveBox or Perfomer, also using immersive VST3 plugins by other manufacturers.

As part of this update, the Waves Immersive Wrapper plugin is now compatible with all SuperRack products. This way, all Waves mono plugins can now be transformed into immersive processors within SuperRack: simply insert Immersive Wrapper on any SuperRack slot, load any Waves mono plugin inside Immersive Wrapper, and mix immersive live audio with Waves plugins in real time.

Immersive Wrapper is now also bundled with SuperRack LiveBox, making LiveBox the one-stop solution for immersive mixing in live broadcast and live concert settings.

What’s New at a Glance

  • 5.1.4, 7.1.4, and 9.1.4 configurations added to SuperRack SoundGrid, Performer, and LiveBox.
  • The Immersive Wrapper plugin is now supported in all SuperRack products, allowing you to turn any Waves mono plugin in your SuperRack sessions into an immersive processor. Immersive Wrapper is now also bundled with SuperRack LiveBox.
  • Immersive-ready VST3 plugins, including plugins by other (non-Waves) manufacturers, are now directly supported in SuperRack Performer and SuperRack LiveBox.
  • Other new features in all SuperRack products:

How to Update

See all update instructions here

Important: If you are updating SuperRack SoundGrid V15, please note the following before you update (these notes do not apply to SuperRack LiveBox or Performer):

  • SoundGrid Server compatibility: Waves SoundGrid servers Gen 6 (X6) and earlier are not officially supported with SuperRack V15. Check this page to identify which generation server you have.
  • SoundGrid Driver compatibility: Installing SuperRackSoundGrid V15 automatically installs the latest SoundGrid Driver V15. Please be aware that this change may disrupt compatibility with other SoundGrid applications or drivers running on different computers within the same setup. To maintain proper functionality across your SoundGrid ecosystem, you must update the SoundGrid Driver to version 15 on all participating machines. Do this via Waves Central, by going to Install products > All products section, search for SoundGrid v15 ASIO / Core Audio Rec/PB Driver, and install it.
  • Note regarding playback and recording for Intel Core Ultra users: The latest SoundGrid Driver (V15) is not supported for playback and recording on IntelCore Ultra processors, and may cause performance issues if used for that purpose. We are working on adding support as soon as possible.
