How to Control Waves Plugins with MIDI in Bitwig Studio

Learn how to set up and control Waves MIDI instruments and plugins in Bitwig Studio.

  1. Create an Audio Track and an Instrument Track. Create an Audio Track and an Instrument Track
  2. On the Audio Track, insert a Bitwig plugin called - Note Receiver. The Note Source should be the Instrument Track. n the Audio Track, insert a Bitwig plugin called - Note Receiver
  3. On the Audio Track, insert the plugin you wish to apply MIDI Learn to afterNote Receiver. On the Audio Track, insert the plugin you wish
  4. On the plugin you wish to control, right-click the parameter and click Learn. On the Audio Track, insert the plugin you wish to apply MIDI Learn to after Note Receiver
  5. Send MIDI control infromation to the plugin in one of these 2 ways:
    1. Use a MIDI controller – Record Arm the Instrument track, then move the knob/fader on your controller.
    2. Programm it into the Instrumnt track – program MIDI CC information into a clip on your Instrument track, and hit Play.
  6. Now, the parameter you selected on the plugin is controled by MIDI Control information.
