How to Control Waves Plugins with MIDI in REAPER

Learn how to control Waves Plugins using MIDI in REAPER.

  1. Create a new audio track.

  2. Search for the Waves plugin you wish to use in your insert plugins list, and open it on the audio track.

  3. Arm this track and select the desired MIDI Input device – if you have a MIDI Controller, assign it. If you’re sending MIDI information from another track, set the correct track in the “Map input to channel” menu.

  4. Open the Waves plugin, right-click on the parameter you wish to control and click Learn.

  5. Send MIDI control infromation to the plugin from the input you set to the track.
  6. Now, the parameter you selected on the plugin is controled by MIDI Control information.
