How to Convert Voice to MIDI with OVox in FL Studio

Learn how to use the Waves OVox vocal synthesis / vocoder plugin to convert your vocal performances and recordings to MIDI notation in FL Studio.

Insert OVox on a new audio track.
Assign your microphone input to the track that has OVox inserted on it.
In OVox, open up the “Synth Settings” tab and turn on “MIDI OUT.”
In the plugin Settings window, assign your MIDI out to a desired MIDI port.
Insert the virtual instrument that you want to receive MIDI from OVox. In the plugin’s Settings window, set the MIDI input port to be the same as the output in OVox.
Inside OVox, use ‘Tolerance” to control the density of the created MIDI notes. You can also use the Note Mapper to fit the notes into scales, generate chords & harmonies or apply the built-in arpeggiator.
