How to Connect Your eMotion LV1 Classic Console to the Internet

Oct 01, 2024

Learn how to connect your eMotion LV1 Classic console to the internet to activate licenses, install plugins and updates.

To connect your eMotion LV1 Classic console to the internet for license activation, installing updates or installing Waves products, you will need to connect it to a wired internet source.

Connect an Ethernet cable from the eMotion LV1 Classic's network port to your internet-connected router. Do not connect the internet source to the SoundGrid switch ports.

Connect an Ethernet cable

Once connected, the eMotion LV1 Classic should automatically receive an IP address from the router (DHCP required).

At this point your eMotion LV1 Classic is connected to the internet, and you can launch Waves Central to install & activate Waves products.

When you are done, disconnect the console from the internet. We recommend keeping the console disconnected from the internet during operation.

In case a wired internet connection is not available, and you wish to install or activate Waves products, you can use a Mac or PC running Waves Central to create an offline installer and activate licenses on an external USB drive.

Important Notes:

  • Make sure to connect the Ethernet cable to the correct network port and not to the SoundGrid switch ports.
  • Using a Wi-Fi dongle for Wi-Fi access is not supported with eMotion LV1 Classic.
